Ethics and law in ABCD-J is an integral part of research and technology development, shaping the design and governance of ABCD-J’s data infrastructures. Principals such as privacy-by-design, transparent consent models, and responsible data management and use are embedded from the outset, supporting trustworthy and sustainable research.
These questions are particularly relevant in clinical contexts, where data-driven evidence and patient and physician perspectives must be integrated into decision-making. ABCD-J therefore follows a participatory approach that actively involves clinicians and patients, ensuring that new methods are rigorously evaluated, ethically deployed, and aligned with clinical practice.
